Arrival on the international airport of Santiago and transfer to your accommodation in Praia.

With your local guide you will visit the colonial part of the city Praia. Afterwards transfer to Cidade Velha – former capital and UNESCO world heritage. Here you will do your first hike through the green valley of Ribeira Grande. Afterwards transfer and overnight in Tarrafal.

Transfer to the airport and domestic flight to Fogo. Upon arrival transfer to your accommodation and guided city tour through Saõ Filipe. In the evening we will invite you to a dinner in the colonial town of São Filipe.

Hike along the Bordeira with amazing views over Pico do Fogo and Chã das Caldeiras. On the way back you can slide down over lava fields with great views over the southern part of Fogo and the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight in Mosteiros.

Duration: 4 hours wakling time, altitude in hm +600m/ -700m

We will ascent through the misty forest and pass by a diverse cultivated landscape with banana-, papaya- and coffee farms – and here and then you will see some farmhouses. The landscape is green and fertile due to the trade wind here. Picnic under eucalyptus trees. Overnight in São Filipe.
