Fogo is one of the highlights of each journey through Cape Verde due to its magnificent volcano Pico do Fogo. Explore the volcanic moonscape, tropical vegetation in the north as well as the picturesque city São Filipe with its good restaurants.
Itinerary
Arrival on Fogo. You can already see from the plane the impressive form of the volcano. Transfer to your accommodation in São Filipe and city tour through the colonial centre.

Hike along the Bordeira with amazing views over Pico do Fogo and Chã das Caldeiras. On the way back you can slide down over lava fields with great views over the southern part of Fogo and the Atlantic Ocean. Afterwards wine tasting of the famous Fogo wine and transfer to your accommodation in São Filipe.
